I recently took part in a Sketching morning with Annette and 3 other ladies. I am a beginner which didn’t matter amongst the more experienced. Advice and tips were given throughout the session which was very relaxing and fun. I’d recommend this to everyone. thank you Annette I’ll see you in Puisserguier.

Thank you Annette for such a fascinating and mindful morning in Narbonne, I feel I now understand so much more. I really enjoyed the joyful yet studious atmosphere you generated.

The most patient, encouraging and talented teacher there is. A micro grain of creativity will be rooted out by Annette and hey presto…. a new world of art and fun.

I had a wonderful week sketching with Annette last year. As a newcomer to sketching she gave me huge confidence and invaluable help and encouragement when needed. I know the others would agree with me. I have become a very active sketcher thanks to Annette and have wonderful memories of long lunches, lots of laughs and of exploring her corner of France.

You don’t have to be an artist or any good at drawing to have a fabulous time with Annette. First time sketching and the time flew past. And our sketches actually look like something!!! Great time and learned so much.

Thanks so much for yesterday, it was very enlightening, and fun.
The tips are great and I’ll refer to them as I hopefully continue my sketching. I look forward to doing another session with you.

Enjoyed a great 4 day sketching holiday with Annette in Quarante, France. Excellent tuition with useful exercises and tips. I think I became a little more colourful!! Annette is very organised, inspirational and enthusiastic. The bed and breakfast accommodation with Annika was “palatial” but so relaxed and comfortable that it was like staying with an old friend. If you look for a day that can make you completely happy, then join a sketching class with Annette Morris – it was so much fun, also lovely relaxing, surrounded by nice people, it was just great! Just enjoyed an energetic weekend in Paris sketching with Annette Morris Art . We covered many of the best known landmarks, and managed very brief, longer, and full-length sketching sessions. It was wonderful to concentrate on drawing, without having to think about route-finding, where to eat, and locations for coffee and recuperation, because Annette had that all planned. it was fun to work with like-minded people, and as usual, we all looked at the same thing but saw something completely different. I have ended up with some memorable sketches in themselves, some sketch material to develop, and enough photographs to take me through the winter! I genuinely recommend any session Annette runs as manager: I look forward to another one myself. Brian Stone.

Still buzzing nearly a week after Springtime in Paris with Annette. Excelled all my expectations and if you want Paris to get into your soul, and not just be a tourist, this is the way to do it! It’s exciting, exhilarating and enlightening and I recommend a good pair of comfy shoes along with a good quality sketchbook. Annette is not just an accomplished artist, she is an encouraging teacher who also happens to be the best tour guide, bus planner, café connoisseur, reserver of restaurants and much much more! You will never look at Paris in the same way and as a bonus you will meet a special band of brothers. You’ll come home with an extraordinary sketchbook souvenir.

This was a great workshop by one of my favourite watercolour artists. The pace was fast (although I do appreciate the time restraints) and I was able to follow along for most of it and then complete any finishing touches afterwards. The PDF was a welcome addition as a step by step guide too.

I just thought I would write to tell you how much I enjoyed that wonderful few days with Ian in Montpellier. I need hardly tell you that I have been on many art courses and holidays, and I have no hesitation in saying that that was clearly one of the most enjoyable.  Let me pay particular tribute to the way in which you quietly and discreetly organised everything. I don’t remember any single thing going wrong. You may well be a born artist: you’re certainly a born manager.

I enjoyed it very much. I am familiar with Annette’s teaching style and so I was able to sketch along, but I think that would be possible if not familiar. The follow-up video allows another attempt at the learner’s pace and also further practice.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience on the sketching weekend in Paris with Annette Morris. Annette led a well thought out and interesting course. I had not sketched in a long time and was a relative beginner, but I grew and was challenged in a good way during this weekend. The group size was perfect and Annette helped create a cohesive group spirit and a supportive atmosphere. This sketching weekend was a marvelous way to see a city with fresh eyes! Meeting lovely people with the same interests in art was an added bonus.

I had a great week learning to sketch with Annette. As an absolute beginner I was a little uncertain and lacking confidence but Annette was super helpful and as the week went on I started to produce some art that I was actually quite proud of. The other students were great company and the whole week was thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Many thanks to Annette for a great introduction to sketching last Saturday in Montpellier. A day packed with information, advice and encouragement. A much needed boost to my confidence. Can’t wait for the next one! 💕💕💕
